Meet Andy

Andy Willock is a landscape and portrait photographer based in the South West of England.

I’ve been a keen photographer from a young age, but in more recent years this has grown into a passion, I also love hiking, camping and exploring, so all these combined directed my path naturally into landscape photography, especially the landscape of Great Britain. With such a diverse range of landscapes, from the stunning terrain of Scotland to the wild coastline of Cornwall, it offers a plethora of photographic opportunities.

I always strive to capture the essence of a location, be it a beautiful sunrise, the tranquillity of a low-lying mist or the dramatic approach of a storm, my intention is not to just take a nice image but to encapsulate the atmosphere of the scene. Although these conditions prove elusive more often than not I can use that time to have a better understanding of a location, how the light might fall at a certain time of day or just being able to explore different compositions for another time, when hopefully the elements do come together, allowing me to capture an image that accentuates the scene.
